Bear-Bear's Story...
Hi, my name's Bear-Bear! I'm a 1 year old shepherd/collie mix. I was brought into the shelter by my owners because they couldn't care for me anymore. Now I'm here looking for my forever home! I'm housebroken, crate trained, and love being around kids. I get along with some other dogs, and we're not sure how I am with cats yet. Before I'm adopted I will be up to date on shots, neutered, and will have a microchip. Now all I need is someone to love me and give me a home! Do you think you have room in your house and heart for a great guy like me? The shelter is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, and Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, come visit me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear-Bear, a Youngwood Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
