Nellie's Story...
Nellie is a 6 month old, 37 lbs beagle mix. She was adopted from POET, but is being returned due health issues in her family that make them unable to care for her.

She loves being close to people and loves kids.
She is very intelligent and learns fast. She knows how to sit, lay-down, rollover, stand-up, fetch and stay.
She is fully house broken and is crate trained. She is trained to go into her crate by the command (nite nite)

She is fully vetted.
She spends most of her time indoors. She does like being outside when people are out with her. When outside she needs to be on a leash or chain or she will run from you as a game to her, if your yard is not fenced.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Garden City Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
