PLEA FROM THE DAUGHTER OF DECEASED
My Dad adopted Victor in July 2009. Victor was at a shelter in very; very bad shape and he adopted him and gave him a wonderful home. Victor’s paws and his lower legs were raw and ripped up. The vet had said the injuries were consistent with being drug across asphalt. He also had lots of little scars on his face, probably the result of being used as a bait dog, emaciated, and along with having kennel cough. He could barely walk. My Dad took good care of him changing the bandages daily and giving him lots of love. Within a couple of months he had gained weight, been neutered, and his paws and legs were all healed. He simply adored my Dad and would sleep on the bed with him.
Victor is approximately 5-6 years old. He is neutered, approximately 70-75 pounds. He is housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door. Victor also has an under bite and looks quite funny at times! He walks great on a leash and absolutely loves people, super friendly and his tail never stops. He is not a jumper when greeting people, just tail wagging. He’s quiet and just prefers to be near a human and is the perfect passenger in a car. Victor has been around the other dogs my Dad had but hasn’t been exposed to many others than on walks and he’s a bit shy. He is always willing to make friends with human, but cats…well; he might just want to play chase, so no kitties or small dogs. He will chase birds, lizards, gophers and beetle bugs, any small little critters. He is vaccinated, neutered, and micro-chipped. He has slept inside the entire life at my Dad’s and used to sleep on my Dad’s bed. He likes to sleep up on a chair or ottoman, but would certainly look forward to sleeping on a bed again with his human companion.

Welcome to Treasured Tails Canine Rescue. We are a volunteer based all breed dog rescue focusing on Riverside County and San Bernardino County animal shelters. The dogs we save from shelters are the ones in danger of euthanasia. Highly adoptable dogs lose their lives due to many reasons. Shelter over crowding, an easily treatable medical condition or injury, a dog who is extremely shy or frightened in the shelter environment or in many cases the dog is simply in need of a make over at the groomers. Once a dog enters our rescue he/she goes into a foster home where we can get to know that dog better which allows us to match the dog up with the right family. We do this for the love of dogs.
FOSTER HOMES ARE ALWAYS NEEDED! PLEASE CONTACT FOR FURTHER INFO ON BECOMING A FOSTER FOR OUR RESCUE.
Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. If you are interested in learning more about a particular dog, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 951 852-7999
Our adoption process is as follows. An adoption application needs to be filled out so we know a little more about you and your home. This helps us match the right dog up with the right family. If it looks like a good match we will set up a time where the family can meet the dog and spend time together. It is required that all members of the household and their current dogs (if any) be present during the meet and greet. If things go well and the family decides to adopt, Treasured Tails will deliver dog to its new family on a day/time agreed upon by both parties.
Adoption fee is $200-$250 and that includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies. utd vaccinations and deworm.
An adoption contract must be signed by both parties upon adoption.
