We have a reduced fee on this pup. Her fee has been reduced by $100.00. Just because the fee is reduced DOES NOT mean there is anything wrong with her. It is quite the opposite. She is such a good dog we want someone to take notice of her and give her a chance. Gretchen is a 1 year old lab mix. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is excellent with other dogs. We do not know about cats because the foster does not have any cats to test her with. She is excellent with people. She loves to play fetch and chase a tennis ball. She would do that all day if you would throw them for her. She would be better suited for an active person who likes to hike or do things outside. She would make an excellent jogging partner. She is a little strong on the leash but we are working with her on that as well as teaching her basic manners.

Gretchen is spayed, current on shots, deworming, heartworm tested and on prevention, microchipped.

We do require a pre screen application to apply. You can get that on our main web site http://www.saveamuttkennel.info . Please read the FAQ page while you are there.

Transport is included with all adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gretchen Betty's Dog, a Sherman Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Sherman, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sherman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman paves the way for another one to be saved.
