My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Quincy is a wonderful, WONDERFUL, addition to his little foster family. He is a calm and gentle soul with a true respect for his people. Get him around some playful dogs of his own size, though, and a different side of him comes out, all set to play. Either way, this is one joyful dog to have around. Though we cannot say for sure what his mix is, he appears to be Dachshund mixed with Australian Shepherd or maybe Corgi?

Quincy knows what it means to be loved and he truly appreciates attention. He's not an attention hog, but does let you know that he would love to be held or cuddled. He is great on leash and took to a crate perfectly both for travel and through the night. Quincy is simply happy to be with people and wants to do whatever he can to make them happy.

Quincy is a bit on the dominant side when it comes to dogs and so needs to be properly introduced, especially to other dominant dogs. Done properly, he'll be playing with these dogs, big and small, in no time.

Quincy is around three years old and only about 12 pounds. He is just the right size for a lap and with his beautiful coat, he thinks he would make quite a fashion statement if he were to be carried in someone's arms. Quincy is actually afraid of cats, and though we have not tested him with children, he would most likely do well with respectful children over 10 years of age.
