Meet little Kaitlyn, a darling doll-face flame-point Himalayan girl that suddenly found herself dumped in a shelter. Luckily we got her out of there quickly before she got sick. Kaitlyn means "little darling" in Irish and that describes her perfectly! She is a sweet talker, loves pets and headbutts you for more if you stop. She has a very energetic and playful personality but at the same time just wants to snuggle up against you. She likes to be picked up and held for short times. She will come up on the bed for little snuggle sessions.
Kaitlyn would be ok as an only pet, she is very much into humans but she has started to feel more comfortable around the other cats in her foster home. She would be ok in a home with one or two more friendly and respectful cats that won't chase her and harass her.
This little sweet darling will talk you into loving her in no time.

Helping Persian Cats rescues Persians, Himalayans, Exotic Short Hairs and other cats, and places them in responsible and loving homes with people who care! Our network of volunteers rescues primarily purebred cats, from local animal shelters in the southern California area, and from breeders who are no longer able to care for their cats, and from private owners in special circumstances. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Contributions to Helping Persian Cats are deductible under section 170 of the IRS Code. We rely entirely on donations from the public!
Our volunteers and foster homes work hard every day to help Persians and other cats who are in need. All of our foster cats live in cage-free foster homes where we can best assess their personalities and health prior to adoption.
We believe that the happiest and healthiest life for a cat is as a spayed or neutered pet. We ensure that all of our adoptable cats are spayed and neutered BEFORE placing them in new homes. We do not rely on "promises" to get the operation performed in the future.
In addition to spay/neuter, all of our adoptable cats have been seen at least once by a private veterinarian, are tested for feline leukemia and aids, are vaccinated for FVRCP, are dewormed and flea-free, and have received other medical care as needed.
We show our adoptable cats every other Saturday at Petco in Santa Monica from 11:30 to 3:30pm. The address is 2910 Wilshire Blvd. To find out the date of our next adoption event, please email us at helpingpersians@hotmail.com

We require all adopters to be approved for adoption, through completion of our application. We may sometimes require a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not ship our cats - all adopters must meet the cat they wish to adopt.
An adoption fee is required.
We are located in the Los Angeles area, but serve southern California, the Inland Empire and the central coast areas.
