Hi ya! My shelter name is "Henry" and I'm a really great cat! My sad "tail" is that my former owners ran out of love for me and left me behind when they moved. gosh! I thought I was their best friend ever. I don't know what happened, but I wound up in this animal shelter. I'm a real sweetie and fun-loving guy! Not only am I a sweetheart, but I'm also handsome guy, if I do say so myself!....and I just did! I have gorgeous blue eyes and seal point markings on my ragdoll mix coat. I'm just about 2 years old and I'm alrady neutered, so I'm ready to move on to a REAL forever home! Won't you come into the shelter and check me out? I bet you can't resist me!
I'm in cage #125 in the Cat Room. Please??

We are the Animal Shelter for the City of El Cajon. We also house animals for the City of La Mesa. We take in strays and animals relinquished by their owners from these two City's only. We adopt out the animals that are not claimed by their owners. You do not have to live within the City to adopt an animal from us. We sometimes have animals other than dogs and cats.
We are located in the City of El Cajon which is east of San Diego. 1275 N. Marshall is two blocks north of Fletcher Parkway, Marshall runs parallel with the trolley tracks.
We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm. The latest we start an adoption is 4:30. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
Our adoption fee for dogs is $80.00 and cats are $80.00 All other animal adoption fee's are based on the type of animal.
We do an evaluation with you and the animal to be sure that it is the best animal for you. We require that all children in the household under 9 years old be evaluated with the animal and if you are adopting a dog and you currently own a dog, your dog needs to be evaluated with the new dog to be sure they get along.
