Rocco's Story...
Hi! My name is Rocco I am a big boy who is about 6 months old and weighs about 45lbs. I will be a pretty big guy when I am fully grown! I was born outside in Kentucky with my brother, Hudson and sister, Mazie Mae. We were always kept outside and never loved. In fact, our owners wanted to shoot us! But Angels on Wheels wouldn't let that happen! We were brought here and put in a home for the first time ever. How strange it was to have something soft and warm to lay on! I show how grateful I am to my foster family by giving them big kisses!

I love to play with tennis balls and chew on my toys. I am doing pretty good with potty training but I'm still trying to figure out how to let my foster mom know when I need to go out. Since I was never around people and just trying to survive on my own, I am a little shy around people at first. But when I warm up, I really love tummy rubs. I am a very calm quiet boy who just wants to be loved. I hear that there is something better than a foster home. It's called a forever home! I can't wait to get mine! I hear that someone will adopt me and love me forever. Could it be you? If you are interested in adopting me, fill out an application at If you are a good match for me, you can meet me at my foster mom's home in SE Aurora, IL. I can't wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocco, a Naperville Newfoundland/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Newfoundland/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Newfoundland/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
