Leonardo 14107-c's Story...
Big, handsome Leonardo was making his home in a friendly person's garage for about a month before that kind rescuer brought Leonardo to the SPCA. He's been neutered and had his teeth tended to, and is now looking for a surefire, loving home. Leonardo is a bit shy, almost anxious about what's going to happen next - who can blame a cat who's been out on his own for a while? But he really seems to like people, and most likely just needs to have a reliable, comfortable home and regular feeding to come out of his shell. We think Leonardo would be fine in a home with children older than 12 years - given his cautious nature, a calm environment would be most comfortable for him. Would YOUR home fit Leonardo's wishes?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leonardo 14107-c, a Ithaca Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
