Chrissie's Story...
Chrissie is easy to have around! She's 100% house trained and enjoys snoozing on her own personal electric blanket. She's even more content if she has her little stuffed animals to keep her company. She walks great on a leash and enjoys spending time in her back yard - she currently spends about four hours a day exploring and playing with her foster brothers and sisters. Chrissie is fostered by a family with seven other dogs of various sizes -- from 10 to 100 pounds. She's even made friends with a few pigs, chickens, a donkey and a horse! Her best buddy in the house is a four year old girl who bosses her around. They're great friends! Chrissie is easy to bathe and enjoys car rides. Basically, she's happy to be with you and will adapt easily to any family or lifestyle. She's equally friendly with men and women and is at ease with people she hasn't met. Chrissie was abandoned in a shelter and although she is so adorable, she had mammary tumors that deterred adopters from taking her home. FOR had them surgically removed when she was spayed, and she's doing great! Chrissie is 9.25 pounds and estimated to be 7 years old. If you'd like to learn more about her, complete an application, and meet her - please email INFO@FORrescue.net. Chrissie is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
