Phoebe's Story...
Meet Phoebe, a 1 ½ yr old, 7 lb beautiful, golden brown girl. She has a short coat that doesn't shed much at all and is as soft as butter! She is very sweet, inquisitive, and energetic. Phoebe is a friendly little pup that plays well with other dogs; her foster mom has 2 other Chihuahuas that she plays with very well. She loves to play fetch, chase, tug of war, and spend time at the park or beach. She has met quite a few different dogs and kids in the neighborhood, and even a few cats; she is great around them all, and they all seem to like her too. She is very well-mannered and house trained. She loves to go for walks, car rides, or lay in your arms and nap. Phoebe is a lovely little girl that just wants to love and be loved.
To adopt Phoebe please fill out an application found on the web site, www.RescueAChi.com, or come to one of our adoption events (listed on the web site) to meet her in person!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoebe, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
