Hunter's Story...
Hunter is less than a year old and under 20 pounds - he's a happy young dog, curious and eager to learn. He's spending time with children, age seven to eleven, and is great with them. We think he'd enjoy being a member of an active young family. He enjoys other dogs and loves to play ball in the back yard. He's being house trained by his foster mom and is doing well - his adopter will need to continue that. He walks easily on a leash, is fine in the car, and is easy to bathe. He's a super little dog! To learn more about him from his foster mom, complete an application, and schedule a meeting - please email INFO@FORrescue.net. Hunter is fostered in Boaz, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Marietta Dachshund/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Golden Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Dachshund/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Dachshund/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
