Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Della. I am a wonderful young gal. Foster mom thinks I am a year old. I have a ton of puppy energy. I am super friendly. I am an exuberant greeter, meaning I am learning not to jump up to say hello. I try very hard to sit for my treats and sometimes I just get too excited. I do take the treats very gently though.
I have had just a few potty accidents, but they were when I first got to my foster home and could not find the door. I keep my crate nice and clean during the day when my foster family is gone and I go in at night as well. A couple of times I was out and about with the other dogs and boy did I find some great things to drag around the house: shoes, socks, blankets and clothes!
I do love toys, the squeakier the better. You know those toys that are for super chewers, well I can tear them into shreds. One of my more fun qualities is that I play fetch. Can you even believe it?
Foster mom has found out that I like to dig. She has seen me throwing snow around looking for signs of spring. Right now I have a big fenced-in yard but I could get exercise with a couple of good walks each day.
Geez this foster home has some cranky old biddies. And the older fellow does not always roll out the welcome wagon either. Somehow I have managed to play with them but they need a nap just when things get going.
I have met a few kids and they seem great. Because I am a bigger gal {around 30lbs}, I can be a bit overwhelming for tiny children.
I sure would like to go to this place foster mom calls “school”. I am sure I would be a star student. I am food motivated so treats will help me learn. Foster mom said I could use some polishing and obedience training. That would help me a lot.
I like to ride in the car and enjoy being a passenger. I have taken a few short trips and did well.
What I am looking for in a family, is one who will love me forever! Love, Della
