Here's what the humans have to say about me:
After spending a month in a shelter, Paxton was a little nervous when he first arrived at his foster family’s home. He was wary of the other beagles, and especially wary of men. He took to his foster mom immediately, and, after a few days, welcomed the other foster people and beagles into his circle of trust. Paxton is a 15-inch, 34-pound, 4-year old beautiful, gentle, very laid-back boy. He came to us house-trained and sits and stays on command. It only took him one day to master the use of the doggy door. He has not had any accidents in the house. Although he would prefer to sleep in his humans’ bed, he has adjusted well to sleeping in a kennel next to their bed.
Paxton gets along very well with the canine members of his foster family. He occasionally plays with them, but most of the time Paxton is most delighted to be on the couch with his humans. He would do well as an only dog or with another dog that doesn’t expect him to play ALL the time. He really enjoys his walks, and would like to have a family that will continue to walk him daily.
If you are looking for a calm, loving, well-behaved, intelligent beagle, Paxton could be just right for you!
