Champ's Story...
Why Choose me?
Champ is such a little fellow that he is presently sharing a kennel with Laverne and Shirley inside. When I first met him, he was curled up with the girls and wasn’t too sure about what I was doing when I put them all in a basket to take outside. He wasn’t crazy about the wet grass and mud, and I don’t blame him. Still, he was willing to take a few steps to explore. He greatly preferred being held. That’s when he kicked into puppy mode full of tail wags and kisses. He’s adorable, and I loved holding him. I did get to watch him play when I returned him to his kennel. He and the girls started wrestling and having a ball. That’s when I thought of his name. He had one paw on each girl like he had just won a match–he was the champ!

Act quickly to adopt Champ. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Champ, a Athens Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Athens, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
