Rio's Story...
Why Choose me?
Rio shares a kennel with his big brother Diamond. While Diamond greeted me with a hug, Rio was a little shy about coming out of the back of his kennel. Once he saw how Diamond reacted to me, I guess he decided that I was okay, and he came out, too. Rio is a young pup that hasn’t had any experience with a leash. I had to carry him while Diamond led the way to the interaction pen. Both boys are friendly and well behaved. You can really tell that Rio looks up to his brother and copies him. As I was giving them Pup-peronis, Diamond would sit and stay for his treat right away. Rio would sit but found that when he would also stay, like his brother, he’d get his treat sooner. Rio is a playful pup that likes chasing a ball. He hasn’t learned to bring it back, but he has a great time running for it. Both boys play well together. Several times Rio ran in front of his big brother, and Diamond just jumped over him. Rio is a smart dog who’s at the right age for learning new things. He’s calm, sweet, and such a cutie. Come play with Rio today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rio, a Athens Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Athens, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
