Samira's Info...
| Breed: | Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei Mix | Color: | Black | Age: | Young |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female |
Meet Samira, one of the sweetest dogs we have rescued. Samira is a two year old spayed female. Samira is fully grown and close to 30 lbs. We are not sure of her breed but she has the face of a Shar Pei and looks like a Lab/Shar Pei mix. Her eyes and her energy will melt your heart away.
Samira was surrendered at our shelter in Guatemala. She is currently living with other dogs in a dog pen. Samira has a great energy level and will be a great addition to any family. She gets along really well with other dogs, cats, strangers and kids. Samira is already very good at walking on a leash.
Samira is currently at a foster home in Redmond, WA. If you would like to meet her, you will need to fill out an application. Please email to request one.
Samira's adoption fee is $375. This fee covers transportation cost to Seattle as well as spay and vaccines. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. Please visit us at www.animalaware.org.
Shelter Info...
AWARE (Animal Welfare Association - Rescue/Education) is a non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization, founded in Guatemala in 1998. AWARE is financed solely through membership subscriptions and private donations. The principal activity of AWARE is running spay and neuter campaigns. We have a permanent on-site spay/neuter clinic, run monthly spay and neuter campaigns using volunteer vets, and work to raise awareness for animal welfare in Guatemala. We also rescue and rehabilitate hurt animals. We believe in education as a sustainable means to embetter the lives of all animals, and we work to educate students in local schools about the topic.
Adoption fee will vary by dog.
An adoption application and contract is required.
All our adoptable dogs come from Guatemala. A poor country where dogs are malnourished due to poverty or are abandoned due to lack of appreciation if they are not pure breeds.
We are now serving the Seattle area thru a small network of volunteers to offer different and beautiful dogs.
