Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Diamond is a great dog, who get's along with every dog and human she meets. She loves being where the people are, and happily participate in any activity, especially fetch and sleeping on the couch, but she won't hesitate to remind you that she has her own mind. When it comes to basic obedience, she can be rather stubborn and she will test her boundaries She jumps on people and she tends to climb onto counters, but she's doing it less and less each day, and she's pretty good at listening to the "down" command. She still chews on stuff but giving her a lot of excersize and a variety of chew toys has nearly stopped this behavior. She's learned "drop it", but sometimes she'll stubbornly pick things right back up, or she won't drop it until you get up. She doesn't like her kennel, and she will struggle with you when you try to get her in. With a lot of encouragement and hiding her food and treats in her kennel, we've managed to get her to a point she'll go in during the day on her own, and at night, she usually goes in on her own so long as you aren't standing right next to it. She used to have some separation anxiety of chewing and whining in her kennel, but she stops when she's told "no". Now, she doesn't whine for me, but she might relapse back into howling for a night or two in a new house. She also was not potty trained when I first began fostering her, but she's gotten good at signaling in just under a week and we haven't had an accident since. She doesn't listen to commands very well, but she's slowly starting to respond quicker then before. She's a smart dog, and she learns quickly, she's just stubborn about it. I found she is more likely to obey harder tricks like standing on her hind legs then she is to obey basic ones like "sit". She also responds better to praises and pets then she does to treats. She's a good dog and will quickly wiggle her way into anyone's heart, and she acts like a typical boxer puppy that hasn't been trained. With patience and consistent training, she can quickly become an amazing companion. She's already come so far and it's only been a couple weeks!
