My name is Selena, and I am hoping you won’t overlook me just because I can’t see you! My beauty is more than skin-deep.About me: I’m around eight years old and a petite 8.5#. I came from a place that didn’t take the best care of me and I lost my eye-sight to untreated glaucoma and cataracts. I was in pain for a long time, but that is all behind me now and I’m living it up with my foster family. I get drops in my eyes a couple of times a day to help regulate the fluid and now my eye pressure is completely down to normal, which means I no longer have a terrible head-ache. I am a very good girl for my drops-they make me feel so much better! Now that I can focus on the good things in life, my favorite thing in the world is to lie next to my foster mom and get cuddles. I especially love getting good head and belly rubs from her!My foster mom says I am such a good dog. She tells me all the time how especially good I am at going to the potty outside. Once I know where the dog door is, if you have one, I can go out all by myself. If not, you just need to take me outside and put me on the grass, and I know what to do! I haven’t had a single potty accident since coming into rescue.
I may not be able to see you, but I can find you just fine if you tell me where to go. I am great at following my nose, paws, and ears to figure out where I am and where I want to go next! I can even vacuum; my temp foster mom had a Roomba, and I loved to help her out by turning it on and following it all around the house.
So, remember, don’t overlook me just because I can’t see you. I promise that if you take me home, you are going to get the best cuddles you could ask for!
