My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piper is a precious 12.5#, 3 year old iggy girl. She is brand new to rescue, so we are just starting to see her individual personality emerge. Piper has recently started playing with squeaky toys and trying to entice play with the other iggies in her foster home. So far she is getting along well with her canine foster siblings as well as the family kitty cat.

UPDATE: Piper has been in her foster home for a couple of months now and we are seeing lots of wonderful changes! The whining when she can’t see her person has gone away now that she is comfortable in her foster home. Miss Piper is doing great with the other iggies in the home and LOVES sleeping with the resident cat! She can be a bit timid when someone walks towards her, but just lay on the sofa and she is crawling up to be with you. Piper’s favorite times of the day are BREAKFAST and DINNER. She has a healthy appetite so free feeding is not advised. This is a very sweet and gentle dog that needs a quieter home with a gentle family that is willing to give her a little extra TLC as she continues to come out of her shell.

This little doll very much enjoys being in her human’s lap, or sitting beside them in a chair and has a tendency to be a little whiny if she cannot see you. We feel this may resolve as she becomes more comfortable in her new environment, but this could also just be Piper’s personality. She is fully vetted and will be available to meet potential adopters very soon. She is currently healing from her spay and learning about crates and house-training. Please check back for her full bio, once we get to know her a little better.
