Rusty's Story...
Rusty (02-074) is a 4-year-old, red & white male. He is thin but will be a big boy when he fills out. Rusty is great, totally house-trained, loves to goof-off and play and would play all day if his foster mom had the time. He is marvelous with other dogs and with kids - even the young ones. However, Rusty needs a cat-free home because he chases them with a passion. He is learning to walk on a leash but sings and drags like a coonhound if he can scent small, furry animals. A fenced backyard is highly recomended for this boy for the sanity of his new owners. He will keep anyone's yard critter-free. Rusty will be available for adoption after his final heartworm treatment - sometime in early July.

  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
