Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rogan was rescued from a local kill shelter an hour before he was to be euthanized. He was fully vetted (shots, neutered, wormed, and microchipped) and brought to Pappy's Pet Lodge to wait for his permanent home. He was given a suite with a bed and a tv, and allowed to play in day care with other dogs. He began bonding with the staff, who began some basic training with him. Life was good for Rogan, but it was discovered that he did not do well with small dogs. He was able to continue in day care with the bigger dogs, and did great as long as there was an alpha human present. Alas, without an alpha, he became too dominant with the other dogs. He was then not allowed to play in day care and had to be a "walk alone" dog, spending more time in his suite. Because he is not able to get out much, and has been boarded a while, he has become cranky. Rogan is in desperate need of a pernanent home with a strong alpha human to train him. He cannot be with small dogs or children (and probably not cats). If he cannot be placed, and continues to be difficult to handle, the only alternative will be to have him turned over to a shelter, where he will likely be euthanized. Please help this, once happy and loyal dog, find a placement soon!!!!
