My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prince is a wonderful puffball of a dog, a Pom-Chi from a casual breeder who had to give up all her dogs. He is a little shy at first since he has never been out in the world, but warms up quickly and does like to make new friends. Once he trusts you, which can be a matter of minutes, he becomes a very sweet and affectionate guy who loves smooches and snuggles. This guy is going to be one great sofa companion!

He adores attention and wants to be close to his people as much as possible. Prince will make funny little talking noises to tell you that it is time to pay attention to him. He is very treat motivated and will do the cutest dance on his hind legs when begging for a really tasty one.

Since Prince has had very limited experience, he will need a new family who will be patient with him as he learns about all the great stuff in the big outside world. He has never been on a leash before and, when you attach a collar and leash on him, he is convinced he is being attacked by a snake and becomes terrified and tries to run and hide from that awful thing.

We very much prefer that his new home have a safe fenced area for him to potty, doesn’t matter how big, just as long as it is secure since he is a tiny boy. His new family will need to be VERY patient with him and take the time to teach him that leashes and walks are really great things.

The good news is that, other than the scary leash issue, he is doing great and is a wonderful and fun little companion. He gets along with other calm, nice dogs though may not care for bigger or more energetic ones. He is used to living with other small dogs but would be fine as an only dog also.

Prince is only 6 pounds. He is a very young seven years old and just had a dental (6 extractions but chews regular food and treats just fine). He is precious boy who is finished with his life as a breeder boy and ready to be thoroughly loved and spoiled by a great new family. Adoption donation $175.
