Harley ~ Adoption Pending's Story...
Harley is a 1 yr old boxer mix. He was pulled from Mahoning County pound. He survived parvo. Now he's ready for the life he deserves! He is great with kids and other dogs, very curious about cats - barks a lot at them. Still has that puppy energy. Knows basic commands such as sit and lay down. He is great on the leash, and loves to carry it around and walk himself! Loves to play tug-o-war and is a HUGE snuggle buddy! He is slightly protective of his food around other dogs, but that is being addressed now and getting better daily.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley ~ Adoption Pending, a Youngstown Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Youngstown, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Youngstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
