Winston's Story...
Winston is a beautiful purebred Chocolate Labrador Retriever who is approximately 2 years old. He was surrendered by his owners. He seems to be housebroken and he knows simple commands. Winston is very smart and very trainable and would make an excellent pet. He has that laid back Lab personality which is always charming. He seems to like other dogs but we don't know how he feels about cats since he isn't near them at the shelter. Winston lives in Madison, Mississippi, but transport can easily be arranged through Animal Rescue Front. If you are interested in taking Winston into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://www.animalrescuefront.org/Adoption-Form.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Groton Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Groton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
