Polly's Story...
“Smiling” Polly is a beautiful Staffordshire Terrier mix. She is house-broken and great with humans and other dogs (not cats). Her story is heart-breaking but truly a Cinderella tale because she has a special guardian angel looking out for her. Polly was dumped at a kill shelter with a giant logging chain around her neck that needed to be cut off. Three days before she was due to be euthanized, the shelter reached out to CDHA to save her life, and thank goodness we did. Polly is, in a word, amazing. She is gentle, loving, and an absolute joy. She loves to play, snuggle, and go on romps in the woods. We could not ask for a dog with a more beautiful disposition.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polly, a Loudonville Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Loudonville, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Loudonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loudonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loudonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loudonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
