Lucius's Story...
I came to AWLMC from the Montgomery County Humane Society. I had a home, but was given up to the county to find a new one. I am a handsome brown and white tabby. I am all boy! I am very active and curious. I am on the go all the time! I love to run around and enjoy rough and tumble play. I love to play and sleep in cardboard boxes. I am so busy all the time I don’t like to be held much. I will tolerate it for short periods and will climb in your lap to sleep sometimes, but I like to be free and on the go. I will talk a little, mostly to the other animals and birds outside. My favorite toy is the wand and as I said I love cardboard boxes and if they have paper in them; even better! I am an active cat looking for a fun active home to make my forever place to be loved. Come see me today. I was born in 2012.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucius, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
