Bear's Story...
Bear is a beautiful black lab/great Dane mix. He weighs 98 pounds, but will probably grow to about 120. He is about 18 months old. Bear needs a home with a 6 foot privacy fence as he can leap chain link fences in a single bound! He DOES NOT do well with cats. Bear loves other dogs, and lives in a foster home with squirrels. Bear does great with children and people of all ages. With proper training, he could become a great service dog.
Bear is microchipped, neutered, current on vaccinations, and is current on heartworm and flea preventative. Please email INFO@FORrescue.net to learn more about this sweet boy. Bear is being fostered near Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Homewood Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Great Dane breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
