Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Golden Gordy and I am a blonde, 2 year old, neutered cocker boy with a natural tail. I was turned in to a NC shelter by my owner who told the staff that she just couldn't care for me anymore. She then told them that I have not been around kids, I am a bit uneasy around men and since I have been a backyard dog, I might need some guidance on a few issues.
I am heartworm negative and the shelter tried to get me a home, but I didn't do so well meeting people or other dogs, as I had been left alone alot in a fenced backyard. The shelter was a scary place, but I did finally do ok with the women workers after I got to know them. I was a bit uneasy around men and I have never been with kids. I came here to rescue after a staff member contacted CCR and a nice volunteer came to get me.
I am updated on shots and the vet says I am a healthy boy. These nice CCR folks have learned that I do not have any food aggression, I like attention, I like toys, car rides, I like to be walked and I seem to smile a lot! I am a nice looking, happy boy and these rescue folks tell me that I will make someone really happy to adopt me. I hope to find my new forever home soon, but for some reason, I have been overlooked. That's too bad, cause I am actually a great guy and I will be a wonderful companion. I am doing well here at CCR interacting with all of my new rescue buddies, and I really like to romp and play with them when we have time outside. I cannot be placed into a home with children under the age of 10 until these rescue folks find out how I interact with kids. If you can offer me the loving home that I deserve . . . . then I would love to be your new best friend!
