Destiny's Story...
Why Choose me?
Destiny is only available to rescue right now because she is so afraid. This little girl has been on her own with no human contact, so she doesn’t quite know what to think about her new environment. Some of the officers and workers of Animal Control are helping her adjust, so she could be available for adoption any day. When I went to get Destiny for her pictures, she was curled up in the corner of her kennel. She let me pick her up and hold her next to me. She is so soft. As long as you are holding her, Destiny is fine, but when you put her down outside, the world is just too big for her. You can see in some of her pictures, that her tail is tucked. I’m sure it will be just a matter of time before Destiny is prancing around and playing like puppies do. She’s a beautiful girl with gorgeous green eyes. Stayed tuned and we’ll let you know when Destiny is available for adoption!

Act quickly to adopt Destiny. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Destiny, a Athens Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Athens, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
