Kouba's Story...
My name is Kouba.
I am a purebred Shih tzu, I am 3 years old, weigh 17 pounds and am looking for new family to call mine! My previous family didn’t have the time to devote to me. I like to be outside and I need exercise and walks and play time and they were just too busy. I try to be good, but I was so bored - I need someone who will exercise and play with me!
I love my dog toys and the tennis ball… I love walks and like to play with the other smaller dogs.
I sleep nicely on my dog bed and do fine gated off in the laundry room when no one is home. I am smart too, I will tell you when I need to go out to potty.
My former house was very hectic and I would really rather be in a calmer home. Older kids would be okay, but the younger ones are just too rambunctious for me.
I DREAM about being someone’s lap dog and snuggle bug. I would love the attention!! It is something I have never known but have heard THAT IS THE LIFE!!!
Could you love an adorable, energetic and fun guy like me???

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kouba, a Minnetonka Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Minnetonka, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Minnetonka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minnetonka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minnetonka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minnetonka paves the way for another one to be saved.
