Bogey's Story...
Hi, there! They call me Bogey and I am a year old, 53 pound, golden retriever/yellow labrador mix. I was owner surrendered to a high kill shelter where I was going to be euthanized because I was scared. Now that I am in a foster home, I am proving to be a wonderful dog! I play well with other dogs of all sizes and would be a good dog to take to a dog park. I like to go after balls and will jump in your pool (I am a retriever you know!), but I don't get upset if another dog beats me to the ball. I know how to use a doggy door and walk great on a leash. I ignore cats and haven't been around a lot of kids, but have been fine with the ones I have met. I would be good with novice dog owners if you are willing to take dog classes. I have been dewormed, neutered, am up to date on shots and micro chipped. My adoption donation is $200. Please call or text (925) 209-6480 or email for more information or to meet me in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bogey, a Phoenix Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
