Amelia's Story...
Amelia is the happiest dog! Through some unknown series of events, she ended up at the county pound with a bullet in her shoulder, but smiled from injury through surgery and rehab. About 90 pounds, and incredibly muscular, she is fully recovered and ready to find a home to call her own. She is about 2 years old, spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Due to her size and energy-level, a home with small dogs or cats is not recommended. She would not hurt another animal intentionally, but her exuberance can get her carried away. Amelia needs a firm hand on the leash, but will walk like a dream when handled properly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amelia, a Brookville Great Dane/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever for sale in Brookville, or seeking a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brookville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Dane/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookville paves the way for another one to be saved.
