I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Joey is a small boy at only 7 lbs. so he's easy to fit on your lap as you can see in the picture. We believe he is only about 3 years old and he's in good health. He wants love very badly and we aim to find someone great to give it to him!
UPDATE: Joey has been in the care of his foster mom Kate for over a week now and has come out of his shell to reveal himself to be an absolute LOVE!!! We feel he must have been someone's beloved pet because he loves to play with toys and cuddle on the sofa! More to come...
ANOTHER UPDATE: He's now been in foster care for a couple of months. He's learning not to bark at strangers on his walks and no pee pee in the house. What we are learning about him is that he loves to play with his toys and he'll fetch like a retrevier and sit or sleep on your lap no matter what you are doing He does not like cats and although he gets along with other dogs he would rather be an only dog in the household. He seems to have some anxiety and deals with it by barking. That said he can also stay home alone without barking for long (max. 5 hours) periods of time. He feels safe in his crate when home alone. That is why he must have someone to take him out during the day.

We love poms!!! These furry, spunky little monsters are not for eveyrone but they are our passion. We do this because poms generally do not do well or show well in shelter environments. Since they are so small they do better in an environment where they feel safe and get more individualized attention. That's part of why we do this. There is a huge need in the shelter/rescue world and the satisfaction of placing a dog and making people and animals happy is so worth all the work.
We show our poms by appointment only and request that you contact us by phone or e-mail to discuss a specific dog or to arrange to meet the dogs we have available to see if one of them catches your eye and heart.
We do have an adoption application and an adoption agreement that must be completed. Our adoption fee is $300.00 per dog. If we have 2 dogs that need to go together we will only ask $500.00 for both.
We are located in Santa Rosa about 1 1/2 hours north of San Francisco. We serve an area of about 100 miles so that we can do home visits before placement. We are a breed specific (with some exceptions) Pomeranian Rescue. We vaccinate, worm, microchip, spay/neuter and get to know our dogs before placement. We will take back and dog we place with a full refund within the first 2 weeks. Every effort is made to match the dog with the family with regard to energy level, acceptance of other pets, health concerns and many other levels. A positive and educational experience for all involved is our goal so that dog and humans have a long and satisfactory life together.
