Cowbelle's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Cowbelle's Story...
Cowbelle was rescued from a warehouse in Brooklyn. She had a job (paid in food mainly) but she wasn't loved, taken care of or most importantly - spayed. In fact, she gave birth to 4 kittens. She was a great mom, the kittens were fat and happy (and a little wild) but Cowbelle was thin and getting thinner. We scooped the whole family, have them vaccinated, tested for FIV and FELV (negative!), and fixed. The kittens were socialized and 2 of them were since adopted. Cowbelle is a sweet, affectionate and gentle cat who belongs to a loving home, not a warehouse. She is about 1 year old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cowbelle, a Brooklyn American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
