Charlene's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Charlene's Story...
Charlene was found living under a church with her two sisters. Charlene is a sweet dog who loves to play with other dogs and lounge around the house!

Personality: Charlene is friendly, likes to please, both shy and outgoing, enthusiastic, cautious, calm, adaptable, and trainable. Charlene enjoys going for walks and meeting new people and dogs. Right now, cats are in the ‘sometimes’ category. A holdover from her stray days is gulping her food.
Good to know: Charlene is working on her house training, but is not crate trained. She can hold it all day long and then go outside to do her business. Charlene sometimes barks, but does not howl. She jumps up on people at times, and still has the puppy habit of occasional destructive activity. Charlene is considered trainable, and is ready to learn her commands with you!

Charlene is happy being a house dog. She loves to cuddle, play, and give love and affection. Charlene would be a great dog to hang out with, go on walks with, and be best friends with!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlene, a Houston Dachshund/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
