My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke is an extremely handsome 3 year old male German Shepherd. He is currently living in a home with multiple children and 4 dogs, large and small. Duke is house broken and crate trained. Duke was surrendered by his owner to a high kill shelter in South Carolina where he would have been inevitably euthanized because of his shocked behavior in the shelter when his owner left him. German Shepherds, much like mastiffs do not do well in a shelter environment and shut down very easily. Duke was very withdrawn and would not approach shelter workers or interact with people. Once he was pulled by our rescue he almost immediately opened up. Duke is a highly intelligent dog and just wants to please everyone that he meets. Please contact is for more information. Duke's adoption fee is $300 to help offset his medical expenses. He has been cleared by our veterinarian for adoption to an approved home.
