Porky's Story...
Looking for a mild natured, older, and well-behaved canine companion? How about this cutie??? Porky is approximately 8 years old and is a male Brussels Griffon - except for his face, he's mostly hairless so you don't have to worry about any shedding! He is in foster care and available for adoption. He is a puppy mill rescue and was neglected, but still has a very sweet nature. His fee is partially sponsored. Please call 270-601-1544 for more information.

About Our Rescue Group...
SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) @ WKCC (Western KY Correction Complex) is a program in which seven shelter dogs are matched with 14 inmate handlers for two months of training. They live with their trainers and learn how to be good companion animals. Since starting the program in March. 2011, over 80 dogs have found loving homes through this program. SAFE has also benefitted the inmates who have a sense of accomplishment for their part in saving the animals. We are told that morale in general has improved since this program began. Our group alos fosters homeless animals and tries to find them homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Porky, a Princeton Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in Princeton, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in Princeton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Princeton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Princeton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Princeton paves the way for another one to be saved.
