Parker's Story...
Meet Parker, a very cute but shy little boy with adorable ears and those big eyes that just beg for you to pick him up and hold him close. It seems that Parker has not been on many car rides and will need a family to take him on short trips to help him with his fear. He is very scared and will try to hide under the car seats. This little snuggle bug wants nothing more then a nice lap to lay in and his own person to cuddle with. He likes his walks but is still a little leary of things around him. Once he gets to know you and feels secure he will be your best friend. He is a pretty mellow guy so the perfect home would be one that is calm and not a lot of activity. Another canine in the house would be a plus. Unfortunately it doesn't look like anyone has taken the time to show him how much fun playing with toys can be but I am sure with some help it won't take long. So if you are looking for a cute little bundle of cuddlely goodness to share your days and lap with then Parker is your man. To learn more -

Parker weighed 8.7 pounds when we saved him from the kill list.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Parker, a Phoenix Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
