Hero's Story...
Hero was born approx 12/2011. He was surrendered at the shelter by his owners. He did not show well in the shelter as he was terrified and therefore was slated to be euthanized. He is a very different dog away from the shelter. He is affectionate and very sweet. He is looking for that loving forever home he so deserves.

Stop by and meet our pets on Saturdays from noon to 4pm near the groomers in the PetSmart store in Simi Valley, except holiday weekends. Please email ahead to make sure a particular pet will be at adoptions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hero, a Simi Valley German Shepherd Dog/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Corgi for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Corgi dog from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Corgi breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
