Maybelle's Story...
Maybelle is a 9 year old Jack Russell Rat Terrier mix. She loves people and will follow you every where that you let her. She would love to sleep cuddled up in the bed with you but will also sleep quietly alone in the den. She is good in the house and house broken. She gets along with the cats and dogs in her foster home. She is a calmer dog and would like calmer dogs as companions or would do fine as an only dog. She would love to come hang out with you and be your best little four legged friend. If you are interested in Maybelle please apply online at http://www.henricohumane.org/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maybelle, a Richmond Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
