Macy's Story...
Macy is a beautiful black with white lab mix girl who is about 2 years old and weighs 75 lbs. She came from the nastiest high kill shelter after being picked up as a stray. Macy is now in a wonderful Lucky Lab foster home and enjoying some of the finer things in life. If Macy could be described with one word, that word would be ‘Happy’. She is great with everyone and has an awesome time playing with her canine foster siblings in the yard. Her favorite thing is to fetch the tennis ball – she is good at that and she really likes to “share” her Nylabone while she is chewing on it. Macy likes hanging out with her foster family and keeps her foster mom company by laying at her feet while she is cooking or doing the dishes. She is incredible with the family’s 10 and 6 year old children. Macy is house trained, very good at recall, has mastered the command sit and working on stay and down. She can be a little too much for the foster kitty though. Macy does walk well on a leash so would make an excellent walking or running partner.
Macy is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies, and micro-chipped. She is also on flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative and is also crate trained. Macy is a truly awesome girl and if you would like to learn more about how Macy could be a part of your family, please indicate her in the notes section of the online application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
