Alvin's Story...
Who couldn’t love a face like this? Alvin is a Brussels Griffon blend with wiry fur, a big bushy tail and a great personality. At 17lbs he is sturdy but still a lap dog at heart. Estimated to have come into the world in March of 2011 he is still a young pup. He gets along well with the other small dogs, but will push his way in so he is face to face with his favorite human. He is now walking pretty well on a leash but he loves to check all the great smells out. He has as a great time at the small dog park but always knows where his human is. He is doing well with potty manners but that is also with consistency and praise that needs to be on going to have any adopted dog do well. If you would like to meet this handsome fellow please send in your completed application and then come visit all the available dogs at our weekend events shown on our calendar at Adoption fee applies as well as a home check.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alvin, a San Diego Brussels Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Brussels Griffon dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon breeders who help with Brussels Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
