Princess's Info...

Breed: Golden Retriever Mix Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut Age: Adult
Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg) Sex: Female ID#: 05-13
Princess's Story...
A whole lot of heart!
Princess was turned into the shelter with her friend Pepper because “they could not afford her” After we tested Princess for heartworm we understood what that statement meant. Princess was positive for heartworm and has received her final treatment on February 8th. Princess will need 2 more months of very limited activity (Think lay around and only go outside to the bathroom on a leash) and then she can return to being a happy active Golden Retriever.
Princess loves to play with her toys and her sister Pepper.  She will join in an exciting game of chase the cat when Pepper starts it.
Princess is ready to give her heart (that would be a heartworm free heart soon) to that special someone. Are you that person?

Note: We would like Pepper and Princess to be adopted together but will consider separating.
Note: Until May Princess’ activity is restricted to crate rest and outside to the bathroom ONLY
Training:   Basic commands. Crate trained
Compatibility: Good with dogs, Good with kids Likes to chase cats
Activity Level: Laidback
 Status:  Available

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess, a Scottsdale Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
