My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Katsumi (kah-tsoo-mee), which means "victorious beauty", was pulled from a puppy mill breeder that was selling all of their Shibas at an auction. These dogs lived in cages all their lives in order to produce puppies to sell to pet stores all over the nation but especially in Colorado. Katsumi is 7 1/2 years old and looking forward to being someone's companion.

Katsumi is good with other dogs, cats, children, and LOVES attention for anyone who will give it to her. If you want a cuddle bug or lap dog, she's your girl! While she is good with other dogs she doesn't interact directly with them or play. She prefers to play by herself by throwing toys around in the air.

Katsumi is good in her crate, potty trained, and also is familiar with using a doggie door to do her business. However, even though she's an older dog we do not recommend leaving her loose if no one is home or when you are sleeping because she is actually quite the chewer.

Katsumi came to us with extremely high grade luxating patellas or loose knee caps so we have done surgery on her knees to repair them. She should not need further surgical repair at this point.

Katsumi 's adoption fee is $175.00 which includes her spay, surgical dental, microchip, deworming, and distemper and rabies vaccinations.
