SHELDON's Story...
Hello! I'm Sheldon - a 10 year old stunning MUSH. I will follow you around EVERYWHERE (even the bathroom, so deal with it!), I insist on either being on your lap or next to you on the couch, and I LOVE to sleep in bed with you, as you can see from one of my pictures. I'm great with little dogs (haven't met a big one, but that should be cool too!) and I'm fine with other cats..I just prefer and yearn for human company. I need a buddy!! I'm a volunteer favorite because of my LARGE presence (by the way, I could stand to lose a few pounds) and my charming personality. It's about time I find my forever home..could that be with you? Come meet me!! Email goldenpawsociety@gmail.com to set up an appointment!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SHELDON, a Huntington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
