Triton's Story...
Howdy folks! My name is Triton and I really want to be your lap buddy! I am a small guy, and only weigh 8-9lbs but don't let that fool you because there's a lot of awesome crammed into this small package! I'm sure some would call me a "designer dog" because I'm a mix specifically bred to be little and cute, but everyone knows that just means "mutt" and I'm ok with that! I was named Triton bc I'm a "tri", a tripod. I only have three legs. I was involved in some sort of horrible incident before these nice people found me and my back right leg was badly broken. I suffered that way for weeks before my rescuers discovered me, and by then my leg couldn't be saved. It doesn't slow me down any though and I can still "hang with the big dogs" when I run, so there's no reason to stay on the porch! I still manage stairs easily and have kept my loving outgoing personality. I have a lot of heart and I need someone like you who understands that I'm not broken and still deserve an amazing home like yours! I get along well with everyone, including those cat things that some other dogs don't like very much. You can tell from my pic that I'm a pro at holding down the couch and I'm a huge fan of belly rubs! If you think I could be THE ONE and that you could give me the best forever home, please email these nice people that have helped me along my journey and let them know you're interested in TRITON!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Triton, a Hagerstown Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
