Dottie's Story...
Dottie is a sweet cat estimated by the vet to be around 3-years old. Dottie is also a diva. She showed up one afternoon at Polaris career center, frantic, and trying to get inside. It was very obvious she'd been dumped and was very scared. This was no outdoor cat, in fact, she's so loveable and attention seeking, it seems she came from a home where she was once the center of attention. Did her owner pass away and others dump the cat? Did this cat get lost and not find her way home? No one knows and no one has stepped forward to claim this poor girl.

We do know she doesn't get along with other cats so assume she wouldn't do well with dogs. She would be good with kids, but quieter older kids. The ideal home would be with someone who is truly seeking a companion pet, and would let Dottie be the diva she truly is. She's a talker and one of the most charismatic cats ever! Due to her not getting along with the cats in her foster home, she's been confined to one room- we hope this can end soon and Dottie can move somewhere and be the Queen of the Castle!! Please consider Miss Dottie!

About Olmsted Falls Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Olmsted Falls Cat Rescue came to be because the city of Olmsted Falls, OH offers NO ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES and DOESN'T HAVE A RESCUE. We set up our web site to spread awareness, educate, and most of all, be a forum to post pictures and videos of the cats and kittens desperately needing homes. WE are 1 1/2 people. We are not a shelter and hope someday soon Olmsted Falls will start providing its residents animal control services. Until then, we can only take in cats IF we happen to have an available foster, and at this time we have few fosters.

* We will courtesy post for people who want to relinquish their pets. However, the cats must be altered and up to date on shots. We will not take cats in who have lived indoors in a home and place them in our kennel. The kennel only has one cage, we don't have adequate help, so house cats regress in that setting.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please contact Brandi Lynn Borgia at adoptions@olmstedfallscatrescue.com or telephone (440) 840 - 2900 to make arrangements to meet one of our cats or kittens. Our cats and kittens are spread around in various foster homes.

Our Adoption Process...

Our cats are $75 and our kittens are $90. All of our cats & kittens are spayed, neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and treated with preventative flea/tick/parasite medication prior to adoption. Adoption donations are non-refundable.

Adoption fees can vary based on the pets age, breed, temperament, special needs, and size. For example, we do charge more for purebred and highly adoptable animals. This is not because we feel they are more valuable, or are trying to make money- there is no profit in animal rescue. The increased donation is mainly for their protection since "flippers" scour ads for cats they can acquire cheaply and turn around and sell for profit. There is also a greater demand for purebreds. This higher adoption donation allows Olmsted Falls Cat Rescue to generate increased resources to help a greater number of animals in need. * OFCR doesn't receive regular donations and receives no funding. The founder pays out of pocket to meet all the needs of the rescued cats and kittens. The adoption donation(s) we charge for our purebreds is a fraction of what is charged by pet stores and breeders.

We provide the initial veterinary care for all cats kittens, saving the new owners the expense and trouble of having these services performed. We may charge a reduced adoption donation for Senior or Special Needs cats/kittens.

Adoption Donations cover the following services, which all Olmsted Falls Cat Rescue cats and kittens receive prior to adoption:

Spay or Neuter
Age-appropriate vaccinations
Initial treatment for parasites (worms, fleas, ticks, etc.)
Grooming
With every adoption, you will receive your new pets medical records
