Leah's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Leah's Story...
I'll pretend you're interviewing me and have asked me my greatest strengths and weaknesses. So, to start with the positive, I'm mellow and refined, such a lady in the house. Love everyone I meet and am super affectionate. And I am very pretty, too (blushing). My weakness, if we must call it that, is that I like to run a little too well (smile). That's only a problem if you turn me outside without a leash though! If you will just take me for walks, or keep me in your fenced yard, I'll be perfect. I am at the stage in my life where I could easily live in an apartment and go for walks with you and I'd be so happy. So, that's my story, what do you think? I'd love to meet you so you can see for yourself how awesome I am!
Leah is in a foster home so please call Helping Strays at 618-282-7387 to make arrangements to see her. Her adoption fee is $175. which includes microchipping, spaying and she is up to date on her shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leah, a Columbia Labrador Retriever/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Collie for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Collie dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
