Jazz's Story...
My name is Jazz and I am a 4 year old Dachshund that is looking for a calm home. I’m working on losing a bit of weight and am enjoying taking lots of walks. I love to meet and play with other dogs, and I’m generally a happy go lucky little guy. I love people of all ages and will cuddle beside you on the sofa for the afternoon once I have finished playing with my ball (I *love* my ball!). I am comfortable being left alone and am crate trained. ...oh and before I forget, the nice people at TPDRC have made sure that I am neutered, micro-chipped and that my vaccinations are current of course.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jazz, a Toronto Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
